Biography of The Equatorial Painter Edgar Chalco Calle. Pseudonym: “The Cuenca´s Chalquito”
The Equatorial Painter Edgar Chalco Calle was born in Cuenca, Province of Azuay, at The Highlands, country of Ecuador, on December 28th, 1949. Bachelor of the Cuenca´s University´s Art´s Beauty´s Academy in 1966, annexes to The Cuenca´s Art´s University. State University’s Letters and Philosophy´s Art´s Faculty, First Year of Degree. Member of the Plastic´s Arts´Guayas´Nucleus´Culture´s House, is today for today a true Latin American Promise, One of the Best National Plastic´s Artist, that for the fecundity of his production, which matrix of creations has transformed his long dreams, in myths, symbols, magic; and for his technique Inwardness Realistic; it means, the reality saw since the inner´s mind and the Subjective Reality, that only gets its objective in the Art that turns into a germ threw to the life in waiting of an ovule, a suitable spectator to sprout. His audacity resides in the huge force of his colors; in these big yellow, blue, violet, grey and blacks, graphed in surprising spaces with the puzzling of an Applicable Figurative in a Lyricism, rejuvenated in his paintbrushes; maybe owe to that Now days he has survived to two brain discharges, but thanks to God, He can walk, although he has partially lost the faculty of speaking. But although, all these hard circumstances he is leading a wide and well deserved future.

With a Positive and Dynamic Personality, his steps of fatigue are not more than the product of the security of firmly tread on the Triumph. For him is enough with loving the nature, the animals, the color, the simple and good things. To admire his monumental triptychs of a mixture of history in one Act, is a Very Healthy Experience.
