TONY MORE

Biography of the Equatorial Painter, Architect Tony Moré.

He was born in Guayaquil, in 1953. He is Architect, Interior Decoration Designer, Drawer and Autodidactic Painter. He was raised since his early stages of life, by his father hand, because He was also Artist. He is the son of One of The Biggest on the Equatorial Painting, Humberto Moré, He has been consequent with the Plastic Vocation of his ancestor, although keeping an own identity and untransferable. He always was surrounded by painting cans and paintbrushes that were his environment, although not of toys. In real, he decided to study Architecture circumstantially when he made a journey to Quito for a year, with his father to paint a Mural with another Great Plastic Master Guayasamín together, place in that tony looked into an Urbanizationist´s Project´s construction´s Model, to scale, as he was a kid, this one impacts him as a beautiful toy, that served and influenced him as inspiration for this marvelous mock-up, to study such difficult career. His father, except if He continued studying his Artistic Career, let him going on his Professional Career. And was in the year 1984, in that his father dead, and since then, He decided to paint Public and Professionally AS AN HOMAGE, to his Works of Art and Memorable.
Now days Tony Moré is the Guayas´Nucleous´Culture´s House´Plastic´s Art´s Section´s Member. He started painting with the Figurative, but He always was able to receive all the Plastic Proposals. But the Figurative is what he gets fascinated as Artist, that looks for mostly essentialities in the creation. Sometimes, He gets the impression of that He wants to leap the stage of the Neofigurativism to fall in short steps in the Abstract. But, He has made out that a Responsible Artist must keep a process that gear up to his goals, without hurrying up.
In the more than five years that He resided in The United States, specifically in New Jersey, He won many Prizes that stand out his Works of Art that incursion in the Hyper Realism. In 1972, in the Germany´s Kassel´s City´s Documentary, one of the World´s Most Important ´s Art´s Show made his appearance in Europe the Pictorial Movement Hyper Realistic, one that was gestated in the U.S.A. in the sixty decade. The Hyper Realism, also called Surrealism or “Sharp Focus Realism” and Photographic Realism, as its name pointed out, interprets cold and photographically the reality with the Traditional Pictorials Techniques, or in Sculpture with casting in a mould in resin of polyester and fibber of glass.   Generally, The Pictures that paint the North American Artists, pioneers of this “ism” are of big dimensions displaying trivial topics: As landscapes, Automobiles, Grocery´s Facades, Graveyards, etc. The sculptures are commonly from human figures to a Natural Scale, with garments or ordinary postures, like the woman that goes shopping, The Ruby´s Players, nudes, etc. The size, the mechanic and cold ended, the color, the object treatment that is given to the persons, make that we can talk about an anxious quality, to the Surrealism Atmosphere. But the main worth of the Hyper Realism is having turning the trivial things, most of the time ugliness, in Works of Art full of Beauty.
The Major Representatives of this Movement are The Painters Malcolm Morley, Chuck Close, Richard Estes, Hayward Kanowitz, Franz Entsch, Don Eddie and Richard Mclean, and the Sculptors Duane Hanson, John Andrea and Claudio Bravo from Chile (South American country).
Tony Moré believes in the reality, He idealizes it, He wants that his job would be better of what it is. In Ecuador, The Hyper Realism hasn´t had cultivators, maybe, who nearest has been is Jaime Zapata. Besides this, Tony Moré handles perfectly the Acrylic, and in relation to the Ecological Thematic, that is a kind of constant in his Painting, He has built-in the Roses, and Butterflies as elements in the composition of the Artistic Works. Also He paints about Daily Topics, materialized with truthful, taking great care over the lines and the shapes. The Painter has a Collection of Fully colored Watercolors, which thematic grasps on The Nature as his center of inspiration, where appears Daisies, Sunflowers, Leaves, Flowers and Trees.
Tony Moré has matured artistically, delighting us with a really interesting display of extra ordinary’s texture´s watercolors, for the one that the Mass Media and Public in General would foresee a Promising Future in the Change of The Art.  Tony Moré´s Watercolors are nor spontaneous, are carefully elaborated, full of truthfulness, which transforms the Rusty, the Infested with Woodworms, The Old Tins, the Wrecking Cars in Works of Art of Great Plastic Beauty. For Tony Moré doesn´t exist the old or damaged things, because He picks up everything threw away, to convert it with his exquisite taste in Works of Art to be able to look up, looking for on the useless, more elements to follow creating Beauty. Is like if a Wizard transforms the ugly in Beauty.
Tony Moré don´t let to remind physically and in personality to The Master Humberto Moré, his father. His way of talking, of answering questions to the Reporters, his attitudes, his gestures are own of who takes the gens of this Great Master that was, is and will follow being Humberto Moré. ¡The Artists don´t die!.
Tony Moré wants to make a different painting to his father, for this, the own identity in the painting that He chose is The Watercolor; technique that his father only used sporadically. He chose the Watercolor as Artistic Expression, because He learnt it, inside his studies of Architecture, since then, He is trying to dominate it; one of the most important elements for a good watercolor is the Drawing, and He believes that He dominates the Drawing.
He travelled to the United States, for an Identity Problem, because the Collectors and Art´s Buyers of Humberto Moré, saw in him to a Pictorial Follower of his father, or thought that Tony wanted to take advantage of His Famous Name, for making his Artistic Career. Consequently, He decided to travel abroad, where nobody knows him, to begin from cero.   And is that way, like step by step, in a country as is united States of America, in which the competence is the base of success, he achieved a Brilliant Artistic Path, with the following National and International Expositions.
